Take a peek behind the scenes into our cover shoot that brings you the classy bridal collection by the talented Saira Rizwan
Standing in the corridors of the magnificent General Post Office building built during the British Raj, Ather and Shahzad capture glorious bridal looks with the delicate beauty Sabeeka Imam as our model. The whole shoot exudes a mystical charm, taking up the major part of our day as we rushed to get things finished up before sunset in the sweltering heat of Lahore. Despite it being in the month of August with extreme humidity, the shoot could not be more exhilarating, with the grand architectural backdrop of GPO building. Designed by Sir Ganga Ram in 1887 to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria and situated in the heart of Lahore, GPO’s large courtyard and ancient corridors added a majestic glory to our project.
Designer Saira Rizwan talks about her collection and says, “We have very heavy and formal clothes for the upcoming bridal season. We focused on a dark colour palette mostly in shades of reds and the silhouettes are ghararas, lehngas and shararas. Also incorporated into the designs are organza, jamawar, velvet and nets.”
Shahzad Raza our favourite stylist tells us, “Loved working in such an iconic location and the clothes are gorgeous. Outdoor locations are my favourite and of course, Sabeeka carries the clothes with utmost elegance.”
Ather the genius behind the camera comments that, “This is not a typical bridal shoot. It is very lively and I love using natural light. When you have such a beautiful day with gorgeous clothes, model and an even better backdrop, the shoot has to be a success.”
We hope you all like the final product of the effort everyone and our team has put into this shoot.
