DK in PK – a memorable evening

By Maryam Saleem
It’s not very often that you see a country opening its doors of friendship for other countries. The happiest country in the world hosted an exclusive lifestyle expo “DK in PK” on Saturday at Avari Lahore, attended by the who’s who of the city. The event was an effort to let the public outside the bureaucratic community, get a glimpse into the activities of Danish Embassy in Pakistan, on behalf of the Government of Denmark. The event hosted stalls and kiosks from various developments and business partners of Danish Embassy, which included Fatima Group, Sapphire, Maersk and Qatar Airways to name a few. The highlights of the events were the soulful musical performance by Livestrings and Jonas and the delectable food spread accentuated by the Danish version of desi lassi prepared by Kamilla Seidler of Scafa School of Culinary Art. Danish ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Ole Thonke addressed the group and spoke about Lahore’s vibrant culture and its famous love for food. It was a memorable evening indeed.
